Flow With Your Hormonal Changes
Let Jayla be your mentor through all things menopause. We’re here to help you make sense of what’s happening, because let’s be honest – this phase can be pretty confusing.
During perimenopause, the levels of estrogen and progesterone (the dynamic duo that regulates your menstrual cycle) begin to change. These hormonal shifts can cause over three dozen physical and emotional symptoms, including irregular periods.
That’s why we created the Jayla Menopause Kit. Our goal is to help you understand your hormones and effectively manage menopausal symptoms. Because you deserve to feel phenomenal!

Is the Jayla Menopause Kit right for me?
The Jayla Menopause Kit is ideal for women experiencing symptoms like irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats, vaginal dryness, and mood swings. It’s also beneficial for women aged 40 and older looking to prioritize their health.
Will the Jayla Menopause Kit tell me if I am in perimenopause?
Our testing kit is designed to help you understand your hormonal changes. If you’re uncertain whether you’ve entered perimenopause, the Jayla Menopause Kit will allow you to assess whether ovulation is still occurring. Alongside a telehealth appointment, this kit will provide you with valuable insights to make informed decisions about managing perimenopause symptoms and changes. (But it’s important to note that according to the North American Menopause Society, menopause is confirmed after 12 consecutive months without a period.)
What is the relationship between hormones and perimenopause?
During perimenopause, your body’s estrogen and progesterone levels – the dynamic duo regulating your menstrual cycle – start to change. These hormonal changes can cause more than three dozen physical and emotional symptoms, including irregular periods. Understanding these shifts can help you manage and treat these symptoms effectively, and that is why we created the Jayla Menopause Kit.
What hormones will you measure?
It’s simple; the Jayla Menopause Kit measures your follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) levels, five times over nine days. FSH levels rise as women approach perimenopause, indicating changes in ovarian function and the onset of menopause-related symptoms such as irregular periods, hot flashes, and mood swings. Monitoring FSH levels over multiple days provides a clearer picture of hormonal fluctuations, aiding in the diagnosis and management of perimenopause symptoms.
How often will I have to test my hormones?
With the Jayla Menopause Kit, you’ll test your hormones five times over a span of nine days. We recommend this method because hormone levels can change over time. Testing at intervals ensures that the Jayla Menopause Kit captures any changes in your hormone levels accurately.
When should I take the test?
You can start testing with the Jayla Menopause Kit at any point in your cycle, but please keep the following in mind:
- For optimal results, use your first urine of the day when hormone levels are most concentrated
- Test every other day over a nine-day period, starting on a convenient day for you
- If possible, avoid testing during heavy menstrual bleeding for more accurate results
Can medications or health conditions affect the results?
Rest assured – common painkillers, antibiotics, and alcohol typically do not alter the test results. However, if you experience any unexpected results, you can discuss them during your telehealth appointment which is included in your Jayla Menopause Kit.
This being said, please note that if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking hormonal birth control, or medications that affect follicle-stimulating hormone levels, this will most likely lead to inaccurate results.
When can I schedule my first telehealth appointment?
We recommend scheduling your telehealth appointment as soon as you receive your Jayla Menopause Kit. You should schedule it for at least 10 days after you start testing your hormones. This timing ensures that your testing results will be available for discussion during your telehealth appointment. We look forward to meeting you!
What should I expect during my telehealth appointment?
During your telehealth appointment, you’ll discuss your Jayla Menopause Kit results, medical history, and any symptoms you’ve been experiencing with a Jayla menopause clinician. Together, you’ll create a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs. If medications are needed, they can be ordered through Jayla’s online pharmacy and delivered straight to your door.
Who are Jayla clinicians and how are they trained?
At Jayla, we prioritize the highest standards of care and expertise. Our clinicians include licensed nurse practitioners (NPs), nurse midwives (CNMs), doctors (MDs), and naturopathic doctors (NDs) specializing in perimenopause and menopause care. They undergo rigorous training and are experts in their respective fields. Medical doctors oversee all treatments and work closely with clinicians to develop personalized treatment plans tailored to your needs.
Why is Jayla virtual, not in person?
Top-tier professionals specializing in menopause are in short supply, and Jayla addresses this by embracing telehealth over in-person visits. Because we recognized that many women transitioning through menopause often feel unheard and misunderstood by their doctors, our approach addresses common struggles by offering dedicated expert clinicians who are trained to engage in meaningful conversations and active listening. Virtual care also provides the convenience and comfort of home while reducing the burden of long appointment waitlists. If you still prefer in-person care, rest assured that we can also facilitate referrals to local clinicians or labs in your area for physical exams or bloodwork as needed.
Does Jayla prescribe medications, including hormone replacement therapy?
Yes, we’re dedicated to providing comprehensive support to alleviate your symptoms, and this sometimes includes medications. Jayla clinicians may prescribe medications as part of your personalized treatment plan, including hormone replacement therapy. They may also provide refills for medications you currently use for ongoing conditions. However, please note that our clinicians are unable to prescribe certain controlled medications and narcotic pain medications at this time.
How do I get my medication?
Getting your medication is easy with Jayla. We conveniently deliver your prescriptions directly to your home. Alternatively, if you prefer, we can send your prescriptions to a local pharmacy for pickup.
Do I need a prescription for medication?
Certain medications available through Jayla can only be purchased with a prescription from a qualified medical provider. To be prescribed medication, you must first consult with a clinician through our platform. With Jayla, you can access a network of menopause clinicians who can evaluate your specific needs based on your health information, and if appropriate, prescribe treatment.
Where can I find more information about my medication?
After a clinician prescribes medication, you’ll receive detailed information related to your treatment plan. This treatment plan will cover various aspects of the medication, including guidance to assist you in understanding and using your medication effectively.
